JOSEPH "RICHARD" CRAIG JR.

Joseph Richard Craig Jr., 66, of Weaverville, died on February 24, 2010, after a long battle with cancer.  A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Joseph Richard and Maybell Craig.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his twin sons Ronnie & Donnie Craig, sisters, Bertie Russell, Betty Stroupe and Louise Taylor Creasman.  He retired from Britt & Tilson Glass Company.

Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Jennie Jenkins Craig; sons, Joseph Richard Craig III,  Brian Craig, both of Weaverville, Mark Moore of Leicester and daughter, Charlotte King, of Asheville.  He also has four children in Alabama, David, Cindy, Kathy, and Amy.  Sisters, Marie Laughter of Fairview, Helen Hensley of Marion and Ann Huskey of Tennessee.  21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to John F. Keever Solace Center, P O Box 5779, Asheville NC 28813 in memory of Richard or assist the family with expenses. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Moore, JT Moore, John Haynes, Cody Haynes, Jeremy King and Richard King Jr.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, at Brigman's Funeral Service in Black Mountain. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain.
